Weather forecast sees Cup move to Sunday

More exciting than the night before Christmas, it’s the eve of the first ever Volfsball World Cup. The date was moved from Saturday to Sunday due to forecasts of storms that never arrived. Unfortunately this meant the loss of the Rhein Rhur Germinators, but all the old stalwarts – Supermoons, Kongs, Snakehips, Choke Hazard and Choppers are set to appear. Form team of the year so far the Crouch End Tigers have been unable to form a team, so the Cup looks wide open for the taking.

The games will begin at 1pm on Sunday in the field near Highgate, and feature the new fibreglass stand (pictured) made by chief designer Alan Larwood. It remains to be seen if it works properly.
