West Wirral Snakehips 10 v 11 Balham Choke Hazard

Snakehips 10 v 11 Choke Hazard

Report by Rob Marland

Snakehips – Marland, Utley, Wareing

Choke Hazard – T. Saunders, Hunt, M. Saunders

1st Third

The Choke Hazard totted up a series of easy one pointers against the Snakehips, who were unable to penetrate the Balham side’s zone defence. Hunt blocked 5 shots, which is probably a record but nobody can be bothered to keep track of per-third stats so we’ll never know.

2nd Third

James Hunt blocked another 4 shots. Is this man a shaved spider monkey?

3rd Third

With the score 10-3 to the Hazard, the Snakehips looked beaten and were letting passes slip through their fingers. Marland blamed the unusually slippery ball and his suspicions were confirmed when the round git was punted into the brambles and replaced — Utley instantly hoisted the replacement ball through the hoop to bring the Snakehips within 2. Both sides traded one pointers and at the close of play the Choke Hazard had emerged victorious, 11-10. Meanwhile, James Hunt annihilated the blocks-per-game record set by Pete Doyle at Der Goldene Volf 2015 with a massive 11 intercepts in only three periods of play. Holy shit!
