Muswell Hill Supermoons – Larwood, Feilder, Somerville

Camden Kongs – D. Reed, J.Reed, Sukan (Cavanagh

The match fresh Kongs started quickly against the Supermoons, with John Reed as usual on devastating form. Shooting five from six for the area, the bearded wonder had his team up 6-1 at the quarter with the Moons looking visibly jaded.

With the first shot of the second quarter Larwood hit a Volfsball and the Moons were back level 6-6. But that was the highlight of a poor half as the Kongs dominated. David Reed replying with a Volfsball and John Reed notching up the one pointers. It was 13-6 at the half with the Kongs in full control.

The Moons looked rejuvenated for the third and rallied behind Feilder to claw back to 14-11. Ready for the 4th with all to play for.

A short delay for the fourth quarter where they tried to determine where a dog had shat on the field, then it was ready for action.

John Reed’s startling accurate shooting from the perimeter slowly propelled the Kongs into a 18-12 forcing the Moons into more extravagant and unsuccessful Volfsball and DoppelVolfsball attempts. Kavanagh sank a Volfsball and then Sukan put the icing on the cake for a 24-12 victory with the highest Volfsball score in history.
