Rule Change for Season Opener
- Updated: April 16, 2016

The UK has been deafened by screams of ecstasy as the date has been set for the start of the Volfsball season – April 24th. The location the same as usual, the weird sports field near Highgate station. But Commissioner Marek Larwood announced a radical change in the rules while talking to himself in his front room.
In keeping with the theme of ‘three’ that runs strongly through Volfsball, three players, three circles, three people interested in the sport. The game time will now be reduced from four quarters to three thirds, each lasting three minutes This Site. A whole three minutes shaved off the matches to add to even more excitement to an already thrilling game.
In addition to this rolling subs will be introduced, an idea suggested by Balham Choke Hazard Captain Thom Saunders. The team will be allowed to sub on and off players at any time. When a team gains possession and makes their way to the outer circle to throw the ball in. The player that wishes to be substituted will hand the ball to the player who is set to join the game. This player will then take the throw in and join the game.
The final rule change for the start of the season will be the inclusion of one thirty second time out per team. There will no longer be clock stopping in the last thirty seconds of the final quarter. Instead each team will be able to take a time out in a dead ball situation. This will stop the clock and time will start from the moment the ball is thrown in.
Volfsball is always open to any suggestions from fans and players alike.
